What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster was never folded. It had pinholes in the corners. It had a 3" tear in the top center and two 2" tears in the upper right border. It had some tiny tears and smudges around the edges, with some smudges and scuffs scattered in the background areas. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above.
