Horne silent sailing sailor romantic mistaken identity screwball comedy ("Adapted by Zelda Sears and Tay Garnett from the novel by Don Marquis"; produced by Cecil B. DeMille; a REALLY wacky story of a man who can only inherit his family fortune if he gets married on the family's ancestral sailing ship, which is rotting away; he meets an heiress in a similar situation, and they fall in love, but when they go to get married on the boat, they taken on a wild taxi chase and then get hi-jacked by crooks who just robbed a mail truck, and police of all sorts start chasing them, and they finally get to the ship in time, but just as they are about to be married on it, a bomb goes off and the ship sinks!) starring Rod La Rocque, Mildred Harris (who had 15 minutes of fame when she was married to Charlie Chaplin, and in many of her later efforts, she was billed as "Mrs. Charlie Chaplin", although not in this movie), Snitz Edwards, Jack Ackroyd, and Otto Lederer NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this is a deluxe still printed on double weight paper stock. Note that this still likely has a stamp on the back in the form of a diamond that has the letters "TRR". One certainly might wonder who placed this stamp there and why. The answer is that 146 of the stills in this set of auctions come to us from a still collector who has collected for many decades, and long ago he began stamping the back of almost his stills with this stamp, and "TRR" is his initials! We said earlier "likely has", because while this collector stamped most of his stills, he did not stamp every one, so you can see for yourself if this is one of the stamped ones by looking at our image of the back of the still. Each of those stamped stills are stamped lightly, and the stamp does NOT affect the front of the still. He is a VERY advanced collector, and he has consigned many wonderful stills to us! Condition: very good. The still is lightly rippled across the top and bottom edges, but it is otherwise in nice condition! Learn More about condition grades
