A 1958 Re-Release Theatrical Linenbacked Six-Sheet Movie Poster (6sh; measures 84 3/4" x 84 3/4" [215 x 215 cm]) (Learn More)

Walt Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, the classic 1937 David Hand Walt Disney animated animation family romantic fairy-tale fantasy musical cartoon ("His first full length feature production"; "In the Marvelous Multiplane Technicolor"; "BEHOLD The Miracle of the Movies! Coming to amaze you, charm you, thrill you!"; "With Eight new songs as catching as 'The Big Bad Wolf.'"; "To thrill you"; "Merriment!"; "Melody!"; "Magic!"; "The dwarfs sing their marching song on the way to work."; "Walt Disney's first full length feature production"; "The show sensation of the generation!"; "wondrously filmed in all the glories of the marvelous multiplane Technicolor"; "The Screen's Supreme Thrill! 1,000 artists worked three years to give you this once-in-a-lifetime show!... A full hour and a half of the most enthralling entertainment you ever experienced... truly the miracle in motion pictures!") featuring the voices of Adriana Caselotti (in the title role as Snow White), Harry Stockwell, Lucille La Verne, Moroni Olsen, and Stuart Buchanan. Note that this movie is always referred to as a "1937" movie, but it actually only had a limited opening in December 1937 (no doubt to qualify for the Oscars), and then it had its wide opening in February 1938. But because it is always referred to as being from 1937, we refer to it that way as well (and of course, it is technically correct).

What IS linenbacking? Learn More

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had some small paper loss at some crossfolds and small paper loss on small parts of a few folds. It had a few creases scattered in the image. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was well backed, but when the restorer was removing it from the stretcher, they were careless in cutting the excess linen, and they accidentally slightly cut into the bottom border of the poster (both the linen and the very edge of the poster). It is near the bottom center of the poster, and the cut extends into the image by only 3", solely in the edge of the blank white area. Someone put a piece of duct tape on the back of that area, and it would certainly be virtually invisible how ever the poster is displayed, and otherwise, the poster will display really well (see our image).
