He started in the early 1930s in straight dramatic roles, returned in 1937 in more dramatic roles, and then found his niche in westerns and serials in the 1940s. Some of his movies include: The Tiger Woman and Silver City Kid among scores of others. He played "Red Ryder" in many movies, and his horse was named Black Jack. He was also the title role on TV's "Mister Ed"! He passed away in 1973 at the age of 64. Important Added Info: Note that these stills all feature a specific actor or actress (sometimes portraits, but often in a scene from a movie that they were in). They come from the collection of Ken Jones, who was an author of many books about old-time actors, including many character actors. He collected on all the stars that he enjoyed, and this is a rare opportunity to get a number of stills at one time from this specific star! Condition: good to very good.
