A 1960 Re-Release Theatrical Movie Lobby Card #4 (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Alfred Hitchcock's Rear Window, the classic 1954 Alfred Hitchcock (nominated for the Best Director Academy Award for this film) thriller ("Based on the short story by Cornell Woolrich"; "Screenplay by John Michael Hayes"; about a man who breaks his leg and is forced to stay at his home until he's better; during this time he observes his neighbors and does some voyeuristic detective work) starring James Stewart (Jimmy Stewart; as Jeff), Grace Kelly (as Lisa), Wendell Corey (as Detective Lt. Doyle), Thelma Ritter (as Stella), Raymond Burr (as Lars Thorwald), Judith Evelyn (as Miss Lonelyhearts), Georgine Darcy (as Miss Torso), Jesslyn Fax (as Miss Hearing Aid), Rand Harper, Havis Davenport (Harper and Davenport played the "newlyweds"), and Ross Bagdasarian (as the "Songwriter"). Note that Raymond Burr had appeared in movies for seven years before this, but always had minor roles, usually playing the "heavy". It would be three more years before his big break in 1957, when he became TV's "Perry Mason"! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: In 1960, Paramount re-released this movie, and they printed these 1960 re-release lobby cards from the original plates and they solely changed the copyright date in the lower left corner of each card, but they did NOT change the original NSS numbers in the lower right corner (which is what caused us to make this mistake). Even though these lobby cards are virtually identical to the first release lobby cards in every way other than the date in the lower left corner, please do not bid thinking they are from the 1954 release as they are most surely from the 1960 re-release. Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: fair to good. There is a tiny dot stain in Stewart's nose and two tiny dot stains in Kelly's cheek near her lips. There is a faint red scuff at top center that extends into Stewart's forehead and a stain in his collar and in his ear. There are creases, tiny stains, faint smudges, tiny bits of paper loss, and pairs of staple holes around the edges.
