Some of his movies include: The First Bad Man, Wichita, Song of the Gringo, and many more! He achieved great fame from singing the theme song from "High Noon", and for being the father of John Ritter, the famous TV star. He passed away in 1974 at the age of 68. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this one-sheet measures 28" x 42" [71 x 107 cm]. Please do not bid on it thinking that it is 27" x 41". Note that this is a "stock" poster created by Screencraft Pictures for use by theaters showing re-releases of their 1930s Tex Ritter movies in the 1940s. Theaters would order this poster, which had a large blank rectangle in the middle left. Sometimes the studio would overprint the stock poster with the title of a specific movie, and sometimes they sent a series of large paper snipes with the titles of specific entries of the series, so the theater could paste in each snipe as needed, thus getting many posters for the price of one. Sometimes stock posters are found with blank snipe areas. Most collectors consider them more valuable with a printed snipe attached, or with an overprinted snipe area. Condition: fair. There are stains and creases throughout the poster. There is some tattering and paper loss along the foldlines and edges of the poster. Learn More about condition grades
