McLaglen cowboy western ("'Something Big' is a swinging western"; "Baker has the biggest, fastest, gun in the West. See him use it on anything that moves!"; "Everybody wants to do something big once in his life. It's just that most people don't have to hold up a stagecoach, steal a girl, and swap her for a gun to do it."; "Sooner or later, Baker will find the right girl. And when he does, he'll swap her for a machine gun. And do something big.") starring Dean Martin, Brian Keith, Honor Blackman, Ben Johnson, Albert Salmi, Don Knight, Denver Pyle, Joyce van Patten, Merlin Olsen ("of L.A. Rams"), and Carol White ("as Dover") NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: SUPER IMPORTANT! THIS LOT CONTAINS 14 STILLS, BUT ONLY FOUR OF THE STILLS ARE PICTURED! THE HIGH BIDDER ON THIS LOT WILL RECEIVE 14 STILLS FROM THIS MOVIE, and NOT just the four pictured! We realize there is an element of gambling to this, but we made no effort to find the best four stills in the lot, and, if you have any willingness to gamble at all, you may find that you get some great stills that were not pictured! Please do NOT bid on this lot unless you can accept that you are only seeing four of the stills. Note that a paper snipe was glued to the back of four stills, and then folded over to the front. Normally, this was done rather than gluing the snipe to the back, so that the snipe could be unfolded and the still could be displayed with the snipe unfolded, which would let moviegoers read the information on the snipe in the lobby. However, these snipes were glued on so that some of the written portion is only readable when the snipe is folded over the bottom of the still, which slightly defeats this purpose (although one can see the top of the still and the snipe at the same time, which could not be done if the snipe was glued on the back). This was done with many stills of the 1930s, but often, the snipes are either partially or completely lost, because it is easier for them to be torn off. UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED, THE SNIPE DOES NOT HAVE ANY EFFECT ON THE FRONT OF THE STILLS! Condition: fine. Most of the stills have slight darkening on the bottom of the back of the still (where the snipe was glued to it; while only four of the stills have snipes, all of them once had snipes, but many were lost over time), but it has only a slight effect on the front of some of the stills, and they are otherwise in excellent condition!
