An Original Vintage Folded One-Sheet Poster (1sh; measures 28" x 42" [71 x 107 cm]) (Learn More)

Paramount Bray-Pictograph, the 1917-1918 series of educational & cartoon shorts produced by John Randolph Bray and distributed by Paramount. Many of these focused on the ongoing World War I (WWI) developments. Bray Studio featured a theatrical cartoon division (which was it's main focus at first), and an educational division. In the late 1920s, Bray phased out its theatrical cartoon division and the bulk of Bray's business then revolved around training films for the Army and Navy.
Artist: Wallace A. Carlson
Important Added Info: Note that ANY movie paper from this series is incredibly rare. We have only previously auctioned a one-sheet from a different entry in this series (23 years ago!) until we received this one-sheet! Note that the cartoon on this poster is Otto Luck and the Ruby of Razmataz, the 1917 Wallace A. Carlson animated animation cartoon comedy short. Otto Luck was featured in at least four cartoon shorts. Also note that this one-sheet measures 28" x 42" [71 x 107 cm].

Condition: good to very good. The poster was folded in half an extra time resulting in a light vertical foldline at left and right. It has tears and separation at upper left in the border and that area was once repaired with older tape from the back, and it now is backed by conservation tape and someone performed some amateur restoration to that area. It has slight discoloration at upper center due to some older tape once on back and there is some tape staining and small blank paper loss at upper right. There are some creases and a few tiny tears in the upper horizontal fold. The poster is otherwise in pretty nice condition, especially given that it is over one hundred years old and it will display quite well on its own, but after a pretty simple linenbacking this ultra rare poster will look fantastic!
