Here come the king and queen rhythm... in the super-dread-naught of musical shows!"; "Based on the play 'Shore Leave' by Hubert Osborne"; "Lyrics and music by Irving Berlin who gives you a broadside of Song Hits"; about two sailors on leave in San Francisco and they are romancing two pretty performers) starring Fred Astaire, Ginger Rogers, Randolph Scott, Betty Grable, Harriet Hilliard (billed as "Harriet Nelson"), Astrid Allwyn, Lucille Ball, "and scores of glorious girls and go-get 'em gobs hitting the high spots afloat and ashore!". Note that this was one of the nine wonderful movies that Astaire and Rogers made between 1933 and 1939 (they made one final movie, "The Barkleys of Broadway", thirteen years later in 1949). NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this is an extremely rare Italian lobby card from the first release of this movie in 1937. Italian lobby cards from before World War II are on a heavyweight paper and they have a "tipped-in" black & white still. They are extremely rare due to paper shortages in Italy during World War II. It was not until after World War II that Italian distributors switched to "photobustas", which resemble lobby cards, but which are on a much thinner paper, and which often measure larger than the earlier Italian lobby cards. Also note that this Italian lobby card measures 13 3/4" x 19 1/2" [35 x 50 cm]. Condition: good to very good. Learn More about condition grades
