A Set of 9 Framed Original Vintage Theatrical 7 1/2" x 9 1/2" [19 x 24 cm] Movie Stills (Learn More) a set of 9 special MGM framed photos, featuring nine of MGM's top stars from 1935, including Joan Crawford, Norma Shearer, Myrna Loy, Eleanor Powell, Spencer Tracy, Franchot Tone, Robert Montgomery, Robert Taylor, and Nelson Eddy. We would imagine that there were additional portraits created of other top MGM stars of this period (most especially Clark Gable), but only these nine are present. Each is a 7 1/2" x 9 1/2" still that has been encased with a plastic coating onto the front of an easel back frame, with "angled" edges that give them a very interesting 3-dimensional look! We have never seen even one of these before, and they are certainly really cool and can either be stood up with the easel backings, or they have a string tied to the top center of the back that allows you to hang them from a wall. If anyone knows more about these, please e-mail us and we will post it here. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Condition: very good. A few of the photos have acquired some rippling in the plastic covering the photo, most notably Franchot Tone and Robert Montgomery. The Joan Crawford has some tiny white dots at her chin and beneath that area that may have been in the printing or may be an acquired defect. There are a few smudges in the corners of each that appear to be on the outer plastic and could likely be cleaned. Otherwise, these are in nice condition (especially considering they are over 80 years old). See our images of the front and back of each to get a good sense of their condition.
