Pinocchio is a fictional character and the protagonist of the 1883 children's novel The Adventures of Pinocchio by Italian writer Carlo Collodi. Pinocchio was carved by a woodcarver named Geppetto in a Tuscan village. He was created as a wooden puppet but he dreams of becoming a real boy. He is notably characterized for his frequent tendency to lie, which causes his nose to grow. Pinocchio is a cultural icon and one of the most reimagined characters in children's literature. His story has been adapted into other media, notably the 1940 Disney film Pinocchio.
Artist: Harold Lentz
Important Added Info: Note that this really cool hardcover book was published in 1932, eight years before the Disney movie, and it not only tells the entire classic story, but it has four wonderful full-color incredibly elaborate pop-ups (we pictured only two of them). Also note that we have pictured the front cover, the title page, and the interior page that shows the publishing information, and one or more interior 2-page spreads.

Condition: good. The spine is missing and there is darkening in the top, right, and bottom of the cover. There is wear around the edges of both covers. The great pop-ups are in pretty nice condition (see our images).
