It's A Riot!"; "From the play 'Return Engagement' by Nancy Hamilton, James Shute, and Rose Mary Casey"; "Music and Lyrics by Richard Rodgers and Lorenz Hart"; about a female movie star who meets a broke French nobleman, who poses as a butler and gets her to hire him, wanting to seduce her and then get her money, but of course, they end up falling in love, and as usual, Ralph Bellamy plays a nice guy who loves the star, but loses her!) starring Carole Lombard, Fernand Gravey (billed as "Fernand Gravet"), Ralph Bellamy, Allen Jenkins, Isabel Jeans, Marie Wilson, and Marcia Ralston NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Sergio Parquilo Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had separation, tiny scuffs, and a few tiny bits of paper loss on parts of some folds. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, but it was displayed on a wall, and it seems likely that the orange in the poster have somewhat faded to a lighter color (but we can't say for certain if it has, because we have never seen another example of the poster, and a search of the Internet did not find any images either). We don't think the background color could have been red, because the restoration paint on the folds that you can see is an orange color (and also, the yellows in the poster have not faded, which one would expect to happen if there had been substantial fading). Note that either the restorer who mounted the poster did not leave any excess linen around the edges of the poster, or possibly the owner of the poster chose to carefully trim off the excess, so that the poster would fit in a frame.
