An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) The War Against Mrs. Hadley, the 1942 Harold S. Bucquet World War II (WWII) military romantic family relationship melodrama ("The producers of Mrs. Miniver present another timely drama."; set in the days before Pearl Harbor, about a rich Washington, D.C. society woman who refuses to see that another World War is imminent, and only when her sons get involved does it become real to her) starring Edward Arnold, Fay Bainter (in the title role as Mrs. Hadley), Richard Ney, Jean Rogers, Sara Allgood, Spring Byington, Van Johnson (in his second credited movie role!), Isobel Elsom, Frances Rafferty, Dorothy Morris, and Rags Ragland. Note that this movie was unusual in that its cast was essentially made up entirely of supporting actors, even its lead, Edward Arnold, who had starred in some movies, but was not really considered a top star. It also included Van Johnson early in his career, and of course, he did go on to become a star! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: good to very good. There is some writing on the back of the poster that slightly bleeds through to the front at upper center. There are some areas of minor separation along the foldlines that have been repaired with conservation tape from the back. Learn More about condition grades
