An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Stage Show One-Sheet Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More)

In Person Horace Heidt For Lucky Strike, the 1953 live stage show starring Johnny 'In The Book' Standley, Ralph Sigwald, Doodles Weaver, Bud Messenie, Lila Jackson and Conley Graves. Also on the billing was "A Night at the Circus", with a "complete cast of 50 people". Apparently, this was a traveling show that appeared around the country in 1953, and perhaps other years. Note that Horace Heidt was a Big Band leader of the 1930s, who successfully made the transition to radio in the 1940s, and moved to TV in 1950, with a talent show called "Original Youth Opportunity Program", and apparently after that, he began touring the country in stage shows (and no doubt the "for Lucky Strike" on this stage show poster references the cigarette company who likely was his sponsor). If anyone knows more about this show or about this poster, please e-mail us and we will post it here.
NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.

Condition: fair. There are tears and areas of paper loss in the center of the vertical foldline and in the left of the top foldline and areas of surface paper loss in the center of the poster, as well as many border problems. The poster is in urgent need of expert professional restoration!
