Not recommended for people of nervous disposition."; "All new and never dared before!"; "Presented in WarnerColor by Warner Bros., producers of 'House of Wax'"; loosely based on the classic novel 'Frankenstein' by Mary Shelley) starring Peter Cushing (in the title role as Baron Victor Frankenstein), Hazel Court, Robert Urquhart, Christopher Lee ("as the creature"; as Frankenstein's monster), and Melvyn Hayes NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that these stills appear in every way to be original U.S. release EXCEPT that there is one very tiny line of French type in the lower right of each still. It reads, "IMPRIME AUX ETATS-UNIS D'AMERIQUE". A collector has told us that he believes this means the stills were printed for use in areas that included French-speaking parts of Canada, but that they WERE printed in the U.S., and that makes complete sense to us (and we have seen this on stills from the 1940s through the early 2000s, so it has certainly been done for an extremely long time)! So they are original stills from 1957, but they were printed partially for use in French-speaking Canada. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here.
UPDATED 08/30/2019: Note that a knowledgeable collector pointed out that there is a studio mistake with one of these stills. While all of the info on the still is for The Curse of Frankenstein, the image (in the last set at lower-left) shows Steve Forrest and Claude Dauphin from the 1954 film Phantom of the Rue Morgue. Condition: good to very good. Learn More about condition grades
