An Original 1948 (from the first release of this movie in Denmark) Vintage Theatrical Folded Danish Movie Poster (measures 24 1/2" x 33 1/2" [62 x 85 cm]) (Learn More) So Ends Our Night, the 1941 John Cromwell World War II (WWII) refugees-from-the-Nazis romantic melodrama ("Here is the picture you will see with your heart!"; "Unforgettable"; "Two thrilling Romances in a story of high Adventure!"; "Based on the novel 'Flotsam' by Erich Maria Remarque"; about European refugees fleeing the Nazis from country to country in Europe during World War II) starring Fredric March, Margaret Sullavan, Frances Dee, Glenn Ford (very young in this role!), Anna Sten, and Erich Von Stroheim. Note that this movie surely helped inspire Casablanca, made the following year, with a similar plot line, and with an evil SS officer played by Erich Von Stroheim (similar to Conrad Veidt's character in Casablanca). Mr. Sanders was a nationally recognized projectionist, film poster collector, and union activist who passed away earlier this year, and the net proceeds from the sale of his varied and eclectic collection will be donated to promote film studies at the Besant School of Happy Valley in Ojai, Ca.
