Desert Nights, the 1929 William Nigh South Africa romantic love triangle diamond mine jewel thieves adventure thriller ("Story by Thomas Neville and Dale Van Every"; a wacky story of a male and female pair of jewel thieves who rob a diamond company in South Africa, and they take the manager as a hostage, but when they try to escape through the desert, they become lost, and they release the manager, and he not only leads them to safety, but he also falls in love with the female jewel thief and convinces her to reform) starring John Gilbert, Ernest Torrence, Mary Nolan, and Claude King. Note that star Mary Nolan was a former Ziegfeld girl who was then known as "Bubbles Wilson", but she had a very troubled life, filled with scandal, and she retired from movies in 1932, and was later a drug addict, she died in 1948 at the age of 43, completely forgotten.

Important Added Info: Note that first release movie posters from this 1929 movie are incredible rare! We have only previously auctioned window cards, but no other first release posters from this movie, until we were consigned this Argentinean poster with a beautiful stone litho image!

Condition: very good. The poster has tack holes around the edges and tiny separation at the crossfolds, with tiny paper loss at the middle crossfold. It has a few brown dot stains scattered in the poster, but they are mostly only noticeable from the back.
