The Death of an Empire. The Adventure of a Lifetime."; "Invading the Kingdom of Gold with just 167 men, Pizarro conquered an empire of 12 million Incas - and changed the course of history!"; "The Incas had everything: wealth, beauty, honor, and innocence. Pizarro brought them Christianity."; "Based Upon the Play 'The Royal Hunt for the Sun' Written by Peter Shaffer"; about the Spanish explorer Francisco Pizarro who captures the Inca god-chief Atahualpa and promises to free him upon the deliverance of a horde of gold) starring Robert Shaw (as Francisco Pizarro), Christopher Plummer (as Atahualpa), Nigel Davenport (as Hernando de Soto), Michael Craig, Andrew Keir, William Marlowe, James Donald, and Leonard Whiting. Note that Christopher Plummer played Pizarro in the stage play version (with David Carradine as Athualpa) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Condition: very good. Each card has an embossed Canadian censor stamp in the right edge of the image that isn't very noticeable or distracting. Each card has the rating blacked out, and minor creases, smudges, and pairs of staple holes in the edges of the card.. Note that it is extremely time-consuming to individually describe the condition of each lobby card in a set of eight. Because of the large number of sets we sell, we will only note more significant defects in each individual card. We will NOT note every tiny border tear, stain, or pinhole.
