Posters like these were ordered by many theaters prior to the major holidays, and displayed in their lobbies, but surely the vast majority of them were taken down and discarded as soon as the holiday was over, and they are extremely rare. Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster was never folded. It had many creases and scuffs scattered throughout, more so in the blue areas around the title, typical of 40x60s from this era. It had stains and tears around the edges. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did little restoration to the defects described above. The poster's defects are noticeable, but to my mind, they simply reinforce that this is clearly a vintage poster from a long ago era and not any sort of modern day reproduction, and the poster will display well as it is on the new owner's wall.
