Some of his movies include: Gone With the Wind, Pygmalion (nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film), In Which We Serve, Forty-Ninth Parallel, Berkeley Square (nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film), and The Petrified Forest. Howard was at the height of his popularity when he passed away in 1943 at the age of 50, when the plane he was in was shot down by Germans. Important Added Info: Note that this is a 16-page supplement "gift book" to Film Pictorial Magazine titled "The Life Story of Leslie Howard" that has a complete and heavily illustrated history of his career. No doubt they thought that this would just cover a small portion of his career, but they could never imagine that he would be tragically killed in a plane crash just eight years later.
