Important Added Info: Note that offered in this auction is an amazing collection of vintage items related to the release of "The Catered Affair", giving an incredible behind the scenes look at what was involved in producing a major motion picture at this time, and also containing many rare photographs and a supervisor script! Contained in this auction is the supervisor script which is heavily annotated throughout and has lots of other wonderful information about the wardrobe, production notes, staff and cast notes, photos of the cast, censor letters, etc., over 98 pages. There is also a bound book of approximately 100 production stills, 29 contact prints, and 49 extra production photographs. Note that these items were originally in the estate of Gore Vidal, who wrote the screenplay for this movie. He sold the items to "Black Sun Books" in New York City, who resold them in 1979 to a collector, and included is the letter that this bookstore wrote to the collector, plus the receipt for it, plus the original envelope. Note: We have 29 images of some of the many, many items in this auction, but due to a space limitation, only TEN of the 29 images are displayed above. However, there is a "supersize" link to the right of those images that lets you see the other 19. Condition: very good. The items were actually used on the set of this movie, and there the photos are mostly stapled into the books, but everything is pretty much in the condition it originally was when filming ended, and it has been well stored over the years since.
