Rex Ingram's Garden of Allah, the 1927 Rex Ingram silent Algeria religious romantic melodrama (a wild story about an Arabian monk who is accused by a young girl of hugging her, and he quits the monastery and becomes a playboy, but he runs into a beautiful young religious girl, and they fall in love, and he is reluctant to tell her about his past) starring Alice Terry, Ivan Petrovich, Marcel Vibert, H.H. Wright, Paquerette, and Gerald Fielding. Note that this movie was a remake of a 1916 movie of the same name, and that it was itself remade in 1936 with Marlene Dietrich and Charles Boyer in the lead roles.
