Landon and Knox, the 1936 political campaign poster ("Landon and Knox for U.S."; "Deeds... not deficits") promoting the Republican ticket of Alf Landon for President, and Frank Knox as Vice President. Landon went on to lose the election to Franklin D. Roosevelt by 10 million votes.

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Because this poster is quite old, we don't want to roll this poster as we would other posters that are linenbacked onto thin linen (rolling it might damage it). We will send it in a large flat package unless the winning bidder insists on rolling it and accepts responsibility for doing so.

Condition: fair to good. The poster may have been trimmed slightly (we haven't auctioned a different example to know for certain). It was folded across the middle and then backed onto a thin linen backing, either soon after it was made, or at a later time. It was not well backed and it was roughly handled, and there are now many creases scattered through the poster (and in the linen backing). There are also some tears around the edges and tiny paper loss in the middle of the right border, and many creases and smudges scattered in the poster. Obviously, the poster can be removed from the thin linen and properly re-backed, but bear these defects in mind before bidding on it.
