An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Movie Paper Banner (measures 24" x 84" [61 x 213 cm]) (Learn More) Nob Hill, the 1945 Henry Hathaway San Francisco California saloon romantic love triangle musical ("Where men fought at the snap of a garter... and women loved at the snap of a finger!"; "From a story by Eleanore Griffen"; about the owner of a Barbary Coast saloon who starts to romance a wealthy woman to try to get him into high society, but the star of his stage show has other plans for him) starring George Raft, Joan Bennett, Vivian Blaine, Peggy Ann Garner, Alan Reed (billed as "Alan 'Falstaff Openshow' Reed"), B.S. Pulley (billed as "B.S. Pully"), Emil Coleman, and Edgar Barrier NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that in the late 1940s, studios began making paper banners that measure 24" x 84", and were printed on a heavy stock, similar to that used for 40x60s. Many people believe they were created for the huge drive-in market that was growing rapidly at this time. This poster is printed on regular one-sheet-like paper on a single huge 24" x 84" sheet! We had never seen a paper banner like this before we were consigned two of them in June of 2015, and since then we have been consigned a very few more. Given that these date from a few years before the "regular" paper banners became standard, we suspect they started out making them like this, and then when they got all torn up due to their large size, they switched to the heavier stock. Condition: good to very good. Learn More about condition grades
