The Hoosier Schoolmaster, the 1935 Lewis D. Important Added Info: This three-sheet was printed in 2 sections.

Condition: very good. The poster had creases, tears, and areas of paper loss in the center of the right vertical foldline and some minor wear on other foldlines. There were some tiny areas of paper loss at a few crossfolds. There were some minor border defects. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well. Note that the lettering of the title and the top of the credits does not match up correctly. This is because those areas fall in the area where the two pieces of the poster join together. This is not a defect in this particular poster, but rather all examples of this poster would have that defect. It was caused because the person in charge of preparing the poster for printing did not pay close enough attention to what he was doing, and so the pieces of the three-sheet are slightly "mis-matched", meaning that no matter how you try to join them up, the lettering is uneven in places. The restorer of this poster did what is normally done, which is to place the two pieces so that there is only a slight mis-match on each side. If this bothered the new owner of this poster, a restorer can re-paint over those areas to make them invisible, but very few collectors go to this trouble.
