An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Window Card Movie Poster (WC; measures 14" x 22" [36 x 56 cm]) (Learn More) Employees' Entrance, the classic 1933 Roy Del Ruth pre-Code New York City romantic-in-the-office infidelity melodrama ("Has the Depression brought bargains in love?"; about a ruthless department store executive, who takes advantage of his employees in every possible way; he seduces married sexy young Loretta Young, but he gets what he deserves in the end) starring Warren William ("Skyrocketing star sensation of the year"), Loretta Young ("Straight from her triumph in 'Life Begins'"), Wallace Ford, Alice White, and Allen Jenkins. Note that this was a pre-Code movie, and its romantic scenes were extremely steamy, and it was exactly this sort of movie that led to the enactment of the Production Code! We have only auctioned another example of this window card from this movie (and that was nine years ago, when it sold for $975!), and no other posters or lobby cards, until we received this second window card!
UPDATED 01/16/2018: Note that a knowledgeable collector identified the artist as Walter Darr! Condition: good to very good. The card has darkened somewhat, more so around the edges, where there are also some smudges. I would think many collectors could happily display this rare card as it is, or certainly, one could choose to have restoration performed. Learn More about condition grades
