An Original Vintage Folded Dutch World War II Poster (measures 35" x 47 1/4" [89 x 120 cm]) (Learn More)

Duitschland Wint (literally translates to "Germany Wins"), the 1940s Dutch World War II (WWII) poster (printed in Holland by the Nazi occupying forces), telling of the superiority of German military might and their ability to sink Allied shipping. Note that this poster features Siegfried art of a sinking ship with German tanks and planes on the hull. The Nazis were trying to establish how superior the Japanese and German military forces were to those of the Allies, and they produced posters like these in countries they occupied to reinforce that idea.
Artist: Siegfried
Important Added Info: Note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube.

Condition: good. The poster was folded like a U.S. one sheet and it has some minor wear on the folds. It had some stains around the edges of the blank borders, more so in the left 10" of the top border, where there are stains on the front of the left 3" of the border and stains on the back of that 10" area. It has small tears in the ends of the foldlines and someone put tape on the back of those areas. It has small areas of paper loss scattered down the right border and creases scattered down the right 2". It also has a 6" slightly diagonal vertical top right in the middle right of the image, primarily in the far right in the black background but very slightly entering the right edge of the image. Someone put vertical pieces of tape on the defects along the right 2" and in a few cases they taped a piece of another poster to the back of that area. The poster can be displayed as it is or certainly any talented restorer can undo the slight amateur restoration and properly reback it.
