An Original Vintage Magazine (measures 8 1/2" x 11" [22 x 28 cm]) (Learn More)

Screen Juveniles (marked "Hollywood Screen Juveniles" on the interior, but just "Screen Juveniles" on the cover), the magazine that was published in 1937 (at least). The only issue we have auctioned is volume 1 number 1 from August 1937, so it may have been a "one shot" publication, but we just don't know. The first issue has a great cover of Judy Garland taken by Durward Graybill, and it has an illustrated article entitled "Judy Garland Looks Back Over 10 Years in Show Business", an article by Deanna Durbin's mother about "how it feels to be the mother of a child star", an article by Bill 'Bojangles' Robinson called "Shirley Temple is Teaching Me Now", and many other articles about the top child stars of that time, including Freddie Bartholomew, Mickey Rooney, and Jane Withers. There is also an article about the ballet from "Shall We Dance?", and we're not sure why that is in this magazine, but likely it is because there is also an ad for the Ginger Rogers Troupers, which was a group from a girls' school in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here.
Important Added Info: Note that we have provided a picture of the front cover of the magazine, and pictures of interior two-page spreads (including the table of contents page if there is one; but we didn't make much effort to find the best ones!). These images should greatly help you judge the overall condition of the magazine, and the contents page lets you know exactly what articles and stories are contained in this particular issue.

Condition: very good. The magazine has scuffs and smudges on the covers, but is otherwise in really nice condition!
