Der Spanische Burgerkrieg und Die Bildenden Kunste (literally translates to "The Spanish Civil War and The Fine Arts"), the 1987 German poster promoting an art exhibition which was held in May in Osnabruck, Germany. Note that this poster features a design by Karin Schliehe which incorporates a portion of Pablo Picasso's Guernica, a large oil painting which was completed in 1937. The painting, now in the Museo Reina Sofia in Madrid, was done with a palette of gray, black, and white, and is regarded by many art critics as one of the most moving and powerful anti-war paintings in history.
