Savage Gold, the 1933 Harold Auten & George M. Dyott South America Brazil Ecuador jungle adventure thriller ("Amazing! Authentic! Sensational! A true record of Commander Dyott's thrilling adventures with savage headhunters"; "Commander Dyott's amazing adventure with the savage headhunters") starring George M. Dyott, and narrated by John Martin. Note that George Dyott was a major American explorer starting right after World War I. In 1927, he was part of the second expedition to travel the Brazilian "River of Doubt" (verifying Teddy Roosevelt's findings!), and in 1928, he led an expedition trying to find the missing British explorer, Percy Fawcett, in the Amazon Jungle. He found evidence that Fawcett had been killed by headhunters, and he himself was captured, but escaped. In 1930, he wrote a book about his adventures, called "Manhunt in the Jungle", and in 1933, this movie was created about his search for Fawcett, with Mr. Dyott playing himself and directing the movie. He had been a pilot in World War I, and he was one of the first aviators in South America, taking aerial views of exotic locations, and selling them as postcards. He spent most of his life in South America, but he returned to New York where he was born at the end of his life, and passed away in 1972 at the age of 89!

Condition: very good to fine. There is a piece of brown paper tape on the back of the center of the top border, but it was not put there for any restoration purpose.
