A 1970s Photographic Negative (measures 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm]) (Learn More) Roy Rogers (often referred to as the "King of the Cowboys") is considered one of the all-time top cowboy western actors (he started in the 1930s and worked in film until the 1950s) and was nearly always accompanied by his equally famous horse, Trigger. He had many female co-stars until he starred with Dale Evans, and they married, and remained married for over 50 years! After his movie career wound down, he and Evans had an extremely successful TV show. He passed away in 1998 at the age of 86. Important Added Info: Note that in the case of this negative, we can't say when it was created. It seems likely it would have been created in the 1970s or later, so we are putting that on the auction. Also note that this (or these, in the case of multiple negatives) was created by and sent by the studio that produced this (in the year noted on this auction) to newspapers, magazines, TV stations, or reviewers, so that they could use them to create the highest quality ads. They can be used to make very high quality reproductions, but bear in mind that we are solely auctioning the physical negatives and NOT the right to reproduce them, so unless they are public domain, the new owner must acquire the rights elsewhere before reproducing them.
