An Original Vintage Unfolded French World War I Poster (measures 31 1/2" x 45 1/4" [80 x 115 cm]) (Learn More)

L'Emprunt de la Liberation (literally translates to "The Loan of Liberation"), the 1918 French World War I (WWI) War Bonds poster encouraging people to buy war bonds to support the war efforts, and featuring wonderful Abel Faivre art of several Allied flags bearing down on a kneeling Kaiser Wilhelm II who is holding a broken sword.

Artist: Abel Faivre

Condition: good to very good. The poster has two vertical lines of very slight darkening at center (much more noticeable in the borders of our image where there is also some paper loss and tears that are partially repaired with conservation tape from the back). There are a few more minor tears in the right and left blank borders but fortunately the artwork itself is mostly in pretty nice condition and is "all there" and after linenbacking with some proper restoration it will look fantastic!
