New York City is a walled maximum security prison. Breaking out is impossible. Breaking in is insane."; "Written by John Carpenter & Nick Castle"; about a future where Manhattan is a prison island and Kurt Russell has to rescue the President whose plane crashed on the island) starring Kurt Russell ("as 'Snake Plissken'"), Lee Van Cleef ("as the 'Police Commissioner'"), Ernest Borgnine ("as 'Cabbie'"), Donald Pleasence ("as 'The President'"), Isaac Hayes ("as 'The Duke of New York'"), Harry Dean Stanton ("as 'Brain'"), and Adrienne Barbeau ("as 'Maggie'"). We have photographed the front and back of each invitation (see our images). These are really cool! These were printed for "a very special international preview" of this movie that was held at the Samuel Goldwyn Theatre of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in Beverly Hills, which was held on Friday, May 1, 1981. Obviously, these were extra invitations that were printed but didn't get mailed! Measurements: each measures approximately 8" x 9"Condition: very good to fine. All of the invitations are unfolded, but were intended to be folded across the middle. One of them has ink smudges in the blank area above and below the "special invitational preview" area, but otherwise, they are all in pretty nice condition!
