An Original 1965 (from the first release of this movie in Spain) Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Spanish Movie Poster (measures 27 3/4" x 39 1/4" [70 x 100 cm]) (Learn More) Lo Sceicco Bianco (released in the U.S. as "The White Sheik"), the 1952 Federico Fellini Italian Arabian romantic love triangle marriage adventure comedy ("A very funny picture by Federico Fellini"; written by Michelangelo Antonioni; about a woman on her honeymoon, who happens to be where a famous Latin lover movie star is filming a movie, and she imagines being with him instead of her dull husband) starring Alberto Sordi (in the title role as The White Sheik), Brunella Bovo, Leopoldo Trieste, Ernesto Almirante, Lilia Landi, Fanny Marchio, Gina Mascetti, Jole Silvani, Enzo Maggio, Anna Primula, Mimo Billi, Armando Libianchi, and Giulietta Masina. Note that this was the first feature film that Fellini directed entirely by himself, and that the idea for this movie was given to Fellini by Michelangelo Antonioni! Note that this movie played in Spain in 1959 at a film festival, but we highly doubt that any posters were created for that film festival release, and this poster is for the first regular Spanish release in 1965. What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had paper loss at the middle crossfold, with some small tears around the paper loss. It had tiny paper loss at the other two crossfolds, with some tears and areas of paper loss at the ends of some folds. It had pinholes around the edges. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects.
