An Unfolded World War II Poster Original Art (measures 12" x 19" [30 x 48 cm]) (Learn More)

Gosh Sakes, the 1944 U.S. World War II (WWII) War Bond homemade poster ("An' I thought I was good"; "Increase war effort"; "Buy a bond and keep out of bondage") encouraging people to buy War Bonds. The poster was hand drawn by an artist who only wrote their initials (it looks like E.J.C.), and the poster was drawn right at the start of 1944, so it features art of Father Time from 1943 telling the 1944 Baby New Year "Gosh sakes -- an' I thought I was good!". The poster was found together with many World War II posters from the same exact time, and it is surely a hand created original from the start of 1944, but we don't know anymore about it beyond that.
Artist: EJC?
Important Added Info: Note that, as noted above, this is an original hand created poster, hand drawn and signed by the artist. It is a one of a kind original, and likely was never reproduced.

Condition: very good. There is a 1" tear in the middle of the right border and the poster has darkened somewhat around the edges.
