eMoviePoster.comAuction History Result 2d0134 DEBORAH KERR signed 3x5 fan photo '60s pretty head & shoulders portrait! Date Sold 10/25/2015Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Autographed Vintage 3 1/4" x 5 1/4" [8 x 13 cm] Fan Photo (Learn More) Deborah Kerr (rhymes with 'star'!) was a Scottish actress from the 1940s to the 1980s. She had a quick rise to stardom in England in the early 1940s, and was in many movies there. She went to Hollywood in the early 1950s, and had some of her greatest successes during that decade, unusual at that time for an actress in her 30s (but she had aged REALLY well!). Some of her movies include: Edward My Son (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), An Affair to Remember, The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp, Black Narcissus, From Here To Eternity (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), The Innocents, Separate Tables (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), Sundowners (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), Heaven Knows Mr. Allison (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), King Solomon's Mines, and The King and I (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film). She passed away in 2007 at the age of 86. Important Added Info: Note that this item has been personally autographed (signed) by Deborah Kerr (she signed it above the facsimile signature)! Note that this still also has a FACSIMILE autograph that is within the printing of the still (the still has NOT been personally autographed twice). Note that this item was consigned to us by a man who was a major movie memorabilia dealer from the 1960s on. During that time, he would regularly attend collectibles shows as a dealer, and while he was at those shows, he would sometimes purchase autographed movie items from other exhibitors at those shows. Many years ago, he purchased a collection of 26 autographed fan photos that someone had assembled, but he did not receive a certificate of authenticity with them. Since our consignor has now passed away, we have no further information about how the autographs were acquired, but we would imagine they were acquired by a fan who either met the celebrities in person or mailed them the photos. As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction. Condition: very good. Learn More about condition grades
