He was born in 1921, but he did not really get his start until the 1950s. This was because he served in World War II, and afterwards went to Stanford University as a theater history and drama major. He graduated in 1948 and acted in many plays in 1949, and only then began his movie career when he was nearing 30! Some of his movies include: A Summer Place, The Amsterdam Kill, The 300 Spartans, and Pollyanna. He passed away in 1987 at the age of 65. Important Added Info: Note that this still has been personally autographed (signed) by Richard Egan! Also note that this still has been trimmed and it now measures 7 1/2" x 9 1/2" [19 x 24 cm]. This item comes from the collection of Duane Robinson, a longtime theater manager who obtained many signed items from celebrities he worked with. He has passed away, and there are no certificates of authenticity with any of his items, but we believe the signatures to surely be authentic. On non-signed items, we give a "lifetime guarantee" on everything we auction, but on signed items, we give the above modified guarantee of 30 days after the auction closes. Condition: good.
