In the first half of the twentieth century, Pennsylvania Railroad grew to the largest train railroad in the nation and, at one time, it was the largest publicly traded corporation in the world, with a budget larger than that of the U.S. government and a workforce of about 250,000 people. It also had the famous "Penn Station" at 34th Street and 7th Avenue in New York City. Artist: Grif Teller Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The calendar had metallic silver borders, and there are many creases and scuffs in those areas (typical with metallic silver printing). There are a few creases in the center of the image. Overall, the calendar was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the calendar "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above. Learn More about condition grades
