Cline silent seafaring sailing ship romantic slapstick comedy (Buster is distraught at losing his girlfriend, and he signs up on a whaling ship with a stern captain and a single crew member, to try to forget his girl, with wonderful comic results) starring Buster Keaton, Joe Roberts, Virginia Fox, and Steve Murphy. Note that this was Buster Keaton's final silent short, and there were only four people in the cast, one of whom, Joe Roberts, appeared in sixteen of the nineteen movies that Keaton directed, second only to Keaton himself. Keaton loved working with Roberts because his huge size made for a wonderful contrast to Keaton (and Roberts was a family friend that Keaton first met as a child). NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that first release 1923 movie paper from this movie is incredibly rare. We have never auctioned even a single movie paper item from this movie until we received this lobby card! Note that there is a stamp on the back that reads "FROM THE COLLECTION OF Michael R. Hawks", who most would consider the premier lobby card collector and expert in the world (and he is still an active collector, looking for the last few items he needs!). Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: good. There are light stains and smudges scattered throughout the card, but they are mostly only noticeable in the blank white areas. There is staining on the back of the bottom center that bleeds through to the front. There are faint scuffs scattered in the image, but they are mostly only noticeable when the card is tilted to the light. See our super-sized images to get a good sense of the condition of this card.
