Note that this movie has a very complicated plot that is difficult to summarize, but it is set in 16th century Japan, and involves a man and his brother-in-law, and one makes pottery, and one wants to become a samurai, and there are ghosts and other fantasy elements, and everybody agrees this movie is a masterpiece!
