An Original Vintage Unfolded Political Campaign Poster (measures 16" x 20" [41 x 51 cm]) (Learn More) Warren Gamaliel Harding and Calvin Coolidge, the 1920 political campaign poster ("America First") promoting the Republican ticket of Warren G. Harding for President and Calvin Coolidge for Vice President. Harding and Coolidge won the election (defeating James Middleton Cox and Franklin D. Roosevelt), and Harding died in 1923, and Calvin Coolidge became the new President. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster is for the Republican candidates in this election. There is a poster that is extremely similar (except of course for the images and the biographies) that is for the Democratic candidates. We guess that in 1920, they used the same printer for both parties, something they would never do today! We are auctioning the other poster in a separate auction. Because this poster is fragile, we will send it in a large flat package, and we will not roll it under any circumstances. Condition: good. The poster has paper loss in the top left corner and tears in the left border and in the upper right border, with one tear in the top border. Someone put paper tape on the back of the left and top borders, and also on the back of the top left corner, to mend the tears and put tape in the missing blank top left corner. The poster can be displayed as it is, or certainly, it can be professionally restored, but bear its defects in mind before placing a bid on it. Learn More about condition grades
