An Autographed Telegram (measures 4 1/4" x 7") (Learn More)

Horace Heidt was a Big Band leader and pianist from the 1930s to the 1950s. His Big Band was called "Horace Heidt and His Musical Knights". Heidt's theme song was "I'll Love You in My Dreams" (which he co-wrote). His biggest hit was "Deep in the Heart of Texas". Some of his other hits include: I Don't Want to Set the World on Fire, This Can't Be Love, Gone With the Wind, and Stars and Stripes Forever. He passed away in 1986 at the age of 85.
Important Added Info: Note that this item has been personally autographed (signed) by Horace Heidt! Our consignor is a longtime collector who purchased this signed item from a reputable dealer, but he does not have a "certificate of authenticity". However, since this is clearly a personal letter to a close friend (Heidt talks about playing golf with him), it is certain that his autograph is genuine.

Condition: good to very good. Someone trimmed the letter to just around the text and signature. It was attached to an album page with tape on the reverse of the top corners, and that tape bled through to the front (see our image).
