An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Pressbook (pb; measures 12" x 18" [30 x 46 cm]; 18 pages) (Learn More) Rocketship X-M ("*Expedition Moon"), the 1950 Kurt Neumann science fiction (sci-fi) space thriller ("The screen's First story of man's conquest of space!"; "Expedition Moon"; "The Future is Here!"; "See Strange planets! Strange People! See Man's greatest dream come true! See a moon's-eye view of the Earth!") starring Lloyd Bridges, Osa Massen, John Emery, Noah Beery Jr., Hugh O'Brian, and Morris Ankrum. Note that, because of post-production issues (and the fact that this movie was rushed though production in 18 days) this film beat George Pal's Destination Moon to theaters by a few weeks, and became the "screen's first story of man's conquest of space". Important Added Info: Note that this is an unusual pressbook in that the "advertising section", which is 6 pages, is bound into the pressbook in the center and is part of the pressbook and not a supplement. In addition, there is a bound-in added small sheet at the center, which is essentially two pages and measures 5" x 13", and which gives corrections for the teaser ads (this, too, is bound into the center). Oddly, there was a second example of this 5" x 13" 4-page corrections sheet consigned to us with this pressbook, and the winner of it will get that as well! Also note that we have provided an image of the front and back covers of this pressbook (if the back cover is not the poster page, we photographed the interior poster page), and of course, the winner of this auction will receive the entire single pressbook we are auctioning (plus any supplements or heralds described above)! Condition: good, WITH CUTS. The pressbook has a single tiny cut within one of the newspaper ads (it measures 1/2" x 2").
