An Original Vintage Theatrical Autographed Deluxe 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More)

Pete Smith was a producer and movie narrator from the 1920s to the 1950s. He first started producing short subjects in 1931, when they were referred to as "Pete Smith Specialties". He made an astounding 155 of these over the next 24 years, narrating 135 of them, and sometimes he was billed as "A Smith Named Pete". The shorts covered a wide range of unusual subjects, kind of like "Ripley's Believe It or Not". Smith passed away in 1979 at the age of 86.
Important Added Info: Note that this still has been personally autographed (signed) by Pete Smith! Also note that this is a deluxe still printed on double weight paper stock.

Our consignor purchased this autograph and others in a collection where all the signed items were obtained by a person named Betty Waldo, and he (and we) believe the signature is authentic, but he has no "certificate of authenticity".

Condition: good to very good. The inscription is slightly smudged. There is faint staining and light rippling in the lower left of the still, as well as light rippling across the top (but it is more "felt" than seen).
