An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) The Navy Way, the 1944 William A. Berke World War II (WWII) Naval basic training romantic comedy ("Filmed at the Great Lakes Naval training station"; the old story of a group of recruits having to make their way through basic training, except in this movie it concerns Naval recruits instead of Army recruits) starring Robert Lowery, Jean Parker, William Henry (billed as "Bill Henry"), Roscoe Karns, Tom Tyler, and Robert Armstrong. Note that top stars Robert Lowery and Jean Parker were married to other people when they co-starred in this movie. Parker got divorced a few years later, and Lowery got divorced, remarried, and divorced again, and finally, in 1951, Lowery and Parker married (but one wonders if they didn't first get together while making this movie!). NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and minor fold and border wear. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well! Note that either the restorer who mounted the poster did not leave any excess linen around the edges of the poster, or possibly the owner of the poster chose to carefully trim off the excess, so that the poster would fit in a frame.
