An Original Vintage Folded English World War II Poster (measures 19 1/2" x 29 1/2" [50 x 75 cm]) (Learn More)

Red Cross Penny-A-Week Fund, the 1940s English World War II (WWII) charity poster ("Please give an extra penny a week"; "In support of the Duke of Glouchester's Red Cross & St. John Fund") encouraging citizens to donate money to the Red Cross
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that due to great paper shortages in England during World War II, posters were sometimes printed on the back of other posters, as was done in France and Belgium. This poster for the Red Cross was printed on the back of part of a wonderful "Dead of Night" first release poster! That poster is incomplete, but it still has a wonderful image (see our images of each side). Based on the layout of the image, it would seem to be the top half of a 20" x 60" English door panel, and that is written at the bottom of the Red Cross poster side (if someone had the image of the bottom half, they could recreate the missing part, and have an incredible poster!). Also note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube.

Condition: good to very good. There are some folds in the poster and some tears and tiny paper loss around the edges. Someone wrote "DEAD OF NIGHT 60x20" in the bottom border (see above).
