An Art Print (signed by artist Susan Willard Flint; 11/16; measures 14" x 18 3/4" [36 x 48 cm]) (Learn More)

Susan Willard Flint was an artist from the 1930s to the 1980s. She stands as an example of one of those artists from the first half of the twentieth century (most of whom were female) who were largely self-taught and created their art in relative obscurity. This was particularly true during the Depression era, when tough economic times made it virtually impossible to secure a livelihood in the fine arts. Flint created some of her finest prints during this time and exhibited her original lithographs with the Salons of America in 1934 and 1936. During the poorest of times, she depicted the delights of domestic life and of special events, such as the circus. Thus her art became an important vehicle against the harsh realities of the day. She passed away in 1984 at the age of 82
Artist: Susan Willard Flint
Important Added Info: Note that this art print has been personally autographed (signed) by Susan Willard Flint and hand-numbered 11/16!

Condition: good to very good. The poster has tiny brown dot stains scattered in various areas (likely due to the age of the relatively thin paper) and some paperclip staining at upper right.
