An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Window Card Movie Poster (WC; measures 13" x 13 3/4" [33 x 35 cm]) (Learn More)

True Heaven, the 1929 James Tinling World War I (WWI) military sexy spy espionage thriller (about a British secret service agent who tangles with a beautiful sexy German spy; she pretends to love him in order to betray him, but over time, she comes to actually love him, and she has a great dilemma when he is sentenced to be shot, but fortunately, the Armistice is signed just in time for a happy ending!) starring George O'Brien, Lois Moran, Phillips Smalley, Oscar Apfel, and Duke Martin. Note that this was one of the last silent movies, although it did have a synchronized soundtrack! Also, note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist.
NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that we can't say for certain that this partial window card is from this movie. But James Tinling worked for Fox, and the litho number dates it to 1929, and the man looks very much like George O'Brien, and the woman looks like Lois Moran, so we are pretty certain it is from this movie! If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Also note that this poster has been trimmed and it now measures 13" x 13 3/4" [33 x 35 cm].

Condition: poor. Only part of the window card remains, and what is there is quite damaged, but we have never auctioned a U.S. poster from this movie before, so someone who cares about film history may well want to preserve it (or even restore it if they can get an image of the full window card).
