An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Title Lobby Card (measures 11" x 14") (Learn More) Jules Verne's Journey to the Center of the Earth, the classic 1959 Henry Levin science fiction (sci-fi) fantasy action adventure thriller ("A Fabulous world below the world"; "1001 Wonders! The Lost City of Atlantis! The Prehistoric Dimetrodons! The Crater of Snakells-Jokull! The Subterranean Oceans!"; "1001 Thrills! The Giant Mushroom Forest! The Stratum of Cinnabar! Gargantuan Chameleons with 20 foot tongues! Stalagmites and Stalactites!"; "A Fabulous World Below the World"; "The most astounding of all Jules Verne's adventures!"; "Wonders to surpass his 'Around the World in 80 Days' and '20,000 Leagues Under the Sea'"!; "You are there exploring the fabulous world below!"; "Thrills never stop. Giant fire lizards with 20 foot tongues! The Lost Continent of Atlantis! Prehistoric Dimetrodons! Caverns of Light!"; "Screenplay by Walter Reisch and Charles Brackett"; based on the novel by Jules Verne) starring Pat Boone (as Alec McKuen), James Mason (as Sir Oliver Lindenbrook), Arlene Dahl (as Carla Goteborg), Diane Baker (as Jenny Lindenbrook), Thayer David (as Count Seknussem), Peter Ronson (as Hans Belker), and Gertrude the Duck NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Condition: good to very good. There was a 3" diagonal tear in the bottom right of the poster running through the yellow tagline box. Someone put a piece of masking tape on the back of that tear. There were many tiny tears in the right blank border and someone put two pieces of clear tape on the back of two of them. There was one 1/2" tear in the lower left border and a couple of other tiny tears in the upper left border and several tiny tears in the bottom 1/4 and someone put a couple of pieces of clear tape on the back of them. There are some smudges around the edges of the card. I would think most collectors could frame this great card just as it is, because the defects are almost exclusively in the borders, and certainly any talented restorer could make this card look fantastic, and there would be virtually no paint restoration anywhere in the image!
