An Original Vintage Theatrical Deluxe 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Key Book Still (Learn More) Tommy Dorsey was a jazz musician, trombonist, and bandleader from the 1920s to the 1950s, performing with all the other greats of that era, and also with his own band with his brother Jimmy. He was known as "The Sentimental Gentleman of Swing". Some movies that included his music are Song of India, Maria, and On Treasure Island. A movie about the Dorseys was made called The Fabulous Dorseys. He passed away in 1956 at the age of 51. Important Added Info: Note that this is a key book still that measures 8" x 10". There are many key book stills that measure 8" x 11" and have punch holes in the extra 1", but this is one of the key book stills that measures 8" x 10" exactly, and has no punch holes, and it has a stamp on the back that reads "THIS IS A KEY SET PRINT". Many studios spent extra money to have their most special photos, the key book stills, either backed with linen or printed on a heavy paper, both of which enhanced their durability. They had an extra 1" at the left or top, with punch holes, because of how they were stored. Key book stills are far more rare than regular stills, which has increased their popularity among collectors, since only a few keybooks were manufactured per film, and a key book still is guaranteed to be authentic. Condition: very good. There is a diagonal crease in the lower left corner. Learn More about condition grades
